BLIND PEOPLE CAN SEE WITH TONGUE


A glasses whose name is Brainport Vision Device was invented. This glasses takes photos of things with help of a camera which is located on it. It turns the photo into electronic codes and this electronic codes are received by tongue. Tongue gives a signal to brain with electronic codes.At the end,the photo turn to an image.

Leader of this project, Robert Beckam, said that this glasses helped to blind people in order to sense things which were at their surroundings.

Blind people who use this glasses cant read a book but they can be aware of traffic signs and people who are at their front.Moreover, they can read short writings...

Beckam added that if these people trained,they would catch a ball which is throwed them...
